Ray is also presently shopping the first two installments to his rodeo series, "Seven Roads to Cheyenne," and talks are already in the works for a sequel to "Sanctuary Ranch." This year, Ray is also looking to release his first mainstream novel, "Tears of Green." This compelling tale has already been called, “the literary work of fiction for the new millennium."

"This is a story that not only can't you put down, but is so real you forget its fiction.” -- acclaimed screen writer Peter DeAnello

Music

It's here!

You can now order a copy of Junior Ray's "Rodeo Heroes and Friends." This concept album was created with the feel and flavor of the late seventies and early eighties, with influences of Junior's hero Chris LeDoux, along with other influences such as C.W. McCall, George Strait, Don Williams and more. This CD takes you back to old style country-western when cowboys sung about the cowboy way of life and songs told stories about those who lived the dream. This album will make you feel like you're on the rodeo trail with Junior, camped on the side of the road around a fire. Every song tells a tale and the legendary musicians that play on it make this album a must-have for country music fans. If you order through this web site, you'll also receive an autographed album poster signed by Junior Ray.

Be sure to look for the music video to the first released and radio favorite, “I Kill Time.”

Rodeo Heroes and Friends

Rodeo

After a year away from professional rodeo competition in 2004, and after sustaining serious injuries in a Bare Back accident in Manhattan, Kansas in the 2003 season -- Junior Ray has come home. Returning to Colorado and the Mountain States Circuit, Junior is hoping to get back on track and make another run. With his latest album released, Junior will be hitting the rodeo trail not only to make a run to the circuit finals but to promote his album.

Junior struggled throughout the 2005 season. Early injuries plagued him from the start. However, he is remaining optimistic. “I knew taking off last season (2004) would hurt me," shares Junior. "Plus, with the move to the Mountain States Circuit, where the bronc riding is so incredibly competitive, I would have my work cut out. But things are finally starting to look up.”

As an added feature on JuniorRay.com, Marble Studios, in cooperation with the PRCA, is filming a documentary about Junior's life and will be posting photos and clips in the near future. They followed Junior and his partner, Colby Foldger, through the 2005 season, to give an inside look at the dedication and sacrifice the modern cowboy pays to live the dream. Yet in this world of pain, injuries, financial struggle, long days and nights on the road -- this documentary shows that the cowboy way is still alive. That they are truly family on the road, and in the heat of competition still look out for one another. The documentary will also see Junior on the football field in the minor leagues, playing one last time for an old friend who coached him in his early years and hopes it will give him his 100th win. We hope you enjoy and hang on for the ride.
